Alex Toth's Time Machine!


H. G. Wells' The Time Machine was a popular science fiction movie in 1960. It won an Oscar. Even with the older style special effects the story is still effective, adapted from a classic Victorian-era short novel by Herbert George Wells. George Pal directed the movie and Rod Taylor starred.

Dell Comics seemed to have the comics movie adaptation business sewed up at the time this was published. One of their top artists at the time was Alex Toth, a talented but volatile artist who died last year. This adaptation was published by Dell Comics as Four Color #1085, with a date of March, 1960.
