Kirby Krimes: The Income Tax Racket


Ugh. Tomorrow is the annual deadline for Americans to pay their income taxes. I have to come up with some money to pay my tax bill. That's not saying much...what I owe would buy one bolt on a fighter jet for the U.S. Air Force.

This is from Headline Comics #26, in 1948, and examines the hot racket of extorting from tax cheats. The art is by Jack Kirby, who as usual, never cheated the reader.
